Any thoughts on this Explorer II

A friend picked this up but I have many concerns. Any help would be appriciated. His watchmaker said the movement looked good, but what about everything else? I would appreciate your thoughts.
Daniel

Is the Rolex crown literally hitting the L in Rolex? My 1655 does not look like that

Very close but....

Very close but not quite. I haven't seen this dial configuration anywhere. Any thoughts on the case, bezel or hands? Things aren't looking good.
Thanks,
Daniel

Yes I've seen that before....

Thanks, I sent that to my friend. Nothing shown with the same crown with T Swiss T The (II) on my friends dial looks odd as well.

I'm not an expert by any stretch of the imagination but the case looks off. Especially the crown guards.

The hash marks don't go to the edge of the rehaut. A big tell on at least a redone dial.

GMT hand looks odd, and is not long enough.

Thanks everyone who responded...

I let him know the consensus. It's as I was thinking from the beginning but just wanted to get a second opinion. I do appreciate your help.
Thanks,
Daniel

sorry but as stated there are A LOT of issues with this piece...case is completely fake i'd say...hands are wrong, text on dial is wrong...at best its a franken but I would be interested to see what the movement looks like just out of curiosity....
