Original DSSD Drawing.jpg

Here is my original which I scanned in - can assure you that it was not generated by anything other than hard work

They are all real, a mixture of H's, B's and F's on Fine Grain Catridge Paper and then fixed with Winsor and Newton Fixative

No, what would be the point ?

I draw to relax, do not have Sky and live out of town and so it helps fill in the evenings.

Posted on here as have been doing a lot of watch drawings lately and wanted to share what I had done (that probably sounds shallow).

Did not even know that you could get a computer to generate drawings - seems kind of sad that they can.

Here is my gallery on the deviant art website,

http://novocastrian.deviantart.com/gallery/

If you zoom in on some of the drawings you will see my mistakes, e.g lines that do not run totally true and in the case of some of the hair shots where the shading has not quite gone right - don't think a computer can generate that !

Don't know why feels so compelled to justify myself (perhaps it is to do with how offended I feel) but here goes.

The photograph attached is a drawing I did of Sir Antony Sher and Natalie Simpson in rehearsal for the RSC production of King Lear. You will note that the both subsequently autographed it, good luck getting a computer to do that (yes I do use a production still as the basis of my drawing).

I have said my piece.

I draw, with different pencils, I then use a piece of tissue to smudge and blend the background and there is some variation in shading, however, it would seem that you are not convinced so doubt anything that I say will change that.

I posted because drawing and watches are two of my interests but have learned my lesson and will not post on here again, I imagine that will make you happy

because its part of the template from this website.

https://photofunia.com/effects/sketch

thats why the edges of each of your images look identical. this is another image from your deviant art webpage

you are entitled to do what you like. i don't know you personally but these images are computer generated and i am offended that you are trying to say they are not.

the clue is in my username.

same patterns.
I drag a thin rubber through the edge of the drawings, in the same manner that I draw it through hair, to give texture and pattern ( I think it looks nice ). Just blocking it off, particularly on cartridge paper just looks odd. As you may know if do background totally black then it just looks saturated (plus the paper curls).

I know the effort I have put into these, you are of your opinion and there is no way we can meet in the middle. So, will leave you to occupy the moral high ground.

Beautiful work. I have the Omega Speedy Pro, and your drawing embodies the appeal of that iconic watch.

Have any of the GMT/BLNR?

and your logic does not stack up - a lot of my drawings do not contain the shading that you say is part of a template, if I was using a computer to generate them then from what you are saying they would all exhibit the same kind of edging.

You have got extra bubbles in your generated image that are not in mine (see attachment). If I had generated this in the same manner as you have then those bubbles would be there too.

I would also contend that in my drawing there is more of the bracelet visible on the r.h.s, the indices are not quite in line at 9 o'clock position and the shading is different on the edges.

Just post one in the middle of the drawing. Hard to do that in a computer generated rendering. Still I think they are very cool renderings.
