Rust Removal Question on Tudor 79090

Thanks, Harry. Is it possible that this could have occurred in the two weeks' after I received the watch back? Assuming it was pressure tested, could it be that there was moisture inside? I'm not sure if I just didn't notice it when I got it back or not. I've kept it dry and it hasn't been damaged.

Hi there Harry,

I have the same exact watched which I purchased back in 1991 brand new! As a suggestion for the future you might want to send it out for service to Official Time Watch in Salt Lake City, Utah. They service Rolex, Tudors and Omegas only. Leo the owner is a superb authorized Rolex trained watch technician. His turn around time is 3 weeks from the time he receives the watch. The cost is 50% of what it would cost at an RSC. I only send my watches to him. All parts are Rolex parts and it's just a pleasure to work with such a knowledgeable individual. Good luck.

That is quite common actually...either take it back to the service center or to a recommend independent watchmaker. To remove it, it will require them to remove the rotating bezel, then the crystal retaining ring. Once removed, the corrosion will be exposed and it can be removed with a wire brush or something similar.
