Brushed bracelet on pre-owned watch
I had just purchased a pre-owned black bay 58 two weeks ago from a used watch dealer for slightly less coin that new (since I've been on multiple AD waitlists for months with no call) and so far I am loving the watch.
However, after admiring the watch close up, I've spotted some light scratches to the lugs (probably from strap changes) and I think the bracelet has been rebrushed. The scratches I can live with, but I am slightly bugged with the bracelet. Seeing as it is new to me and I am now in the honeymoon period, I'm wondering what I should do next: 1. keep the watch 2. sell the watch now (will probably make a loss of $200-$300 or so) 3. if the AD calls me, buy the new watch, then sell the used one (probably at a greater loss since I intend to continue wearing it) any feedback would be appreciated. All in all, I think they did a pretty good job on the rebrushing. maybe its something I have to wrap my head around and get rid of my unrealistic expectations when buying pre-owned. Cheers! |

It looks fine. That watch will outlive you. Wear it and enjoy it. It’s a tool watch for Pete’s sake, not a museum piece.

I think it looks good. Go forward, wear the watch and put your own marks on it.

Thank you all. It's my first big watch purchase so I'm overthinking things.
I guess its because the shop didn't mention it to me so I felt upset about it, but I know I have to keep my expectations realistic. Thanks for giving me perspective |
