If you're analyzing it up close...I can tell you about it being polished etc and how it's been thinned down. Just wearing the watch....99.999% of people won't be able to notice that even if they're WIS without closeup examination/knowledge of cases.

Enjoy in good health.

Like others have said, condition is appropriate for a daily wearer. But that aftermarket laser-etched crystal is lol! The crown is huge.

This watch was literally returned from a service less than three weeks ago. It was serviced by Robert Reeves in the UK (http://www.robertreeves.co.uk/), who is an accredited rolex repairer. Are you saying some of the parts he used aren't genuine? If so, I will have to follow this up.

The crown and crystal were replaced in that service FYI.

Thanks for the comments so far lads.

That does nor means anything bad as can be a genuine Rolex replaced sapphire. Mine (S series) came from factory without the LEC but now does as cracked it and got it replaced by Rikki during its recent service with a brand new one ehich has it

Can you get the lugs fixed by laser welding?

Looks fine to me. I think you just got a lucky snap of the LEC.

Im not sure about the crystal, but you should definitely have it sent back to have the correct crown installed. I think the one you got is too big. I am not saying it is a fake crown. It just doesn't look correct for your watch.

The best course of action might be to send your watch in to Rolex for a service. They will make sure all the parts are correct.

both crystal and crown are raising concerns. it is very obvious from the picture and i'm not sure i would trust the watchmaker who serviced that watch...

Yes, of course an older watch can have a modern LEC service crystal - that's not the issue. But the etching on the OP's watch seems oversized and too heavily engraved.

Lugs look ok to me

Crown looks a little large

I thought service crystal had a S etched into it

Crown is minty sharp vs guards having taken a polishing probably accounts for the apparent size issue. I really don't see anyone using disproportionate Chinese junk to replace parts and am doubtful they would even be compatible. OP I would proudly wear it and ignore ocd WIS pics of office worker watches.

So, the conclusion is that he needs a new crystal, bracelet and case, but the crown could in fact be correct? Could be worse I suppose.

+1 the crown is visible without a zoom. It can’t be authentic from Rolex. Anyhow. Wear it and be happy.

A forum search of LEC or laser etched crown will give you lots of examples to compare. I'd wear it. At least the date mag is correct unlike most AM crystals, and some orig ones!
