First new Pepsi on ebay in the UK

Been watching and waiting to see how long it would take for one to appear.

What a maggot, I got fobbed off by my UK AD "We will only sell to people who spend ££££££££££ big money with us".

I just wonder if the AD sales manager is getting a kick back here?

I hope he gets no bids ........................ Greed personified.

My AD told me that Rolex is watching the new models being sold on the gray market very carefully. He said the AD could get in big trouble if they sell to someone who flips it immediately for a big profit.

I don't think an AD can control what a buyer does with his property

Indeed. I've had my name down at my AD for a Daytona for 2 years and asked for other rare ss watches since such as a BLNR and an SD43 but can't seem to get anything. I haven't bought anything from them for a couple of years but bought 3 off them in one year and still own all 3 and they know that so that ought to help reassure them that I'm not a re-seller. I paid them a visit the other week and they were very nice but they said that "you have to work your way up to watches like a SS Daytona."

Well, gold is more exclusive than stainless but I bet if I had offered to buy the gold Daytona that they had in stock they wouldn't have refused and said that I'd have to work my way up!

This is also true but manufacturers don't care, they just penalise the poor sod that was unfortunate enough to trust the buyer in the first place. I'm in the motor trade and this often happens when a new model comes out and supply out strips demand to the point where people are prepared to pay over list.

Yes, and by all means send it by standard post with an insurance valuation of up to £50! I've a good mind to buy this and claim no watch in the box like that other thread, teach this cheapskate a lesson.

Just shows you - poor qualification from the AD.
They may get their butt kicked from Rolex, if the supplying AD is discovered.

That is very harsh. The AD sounds like a right idiot. It’s not Robinson’s in manchester by any case. I have always found them to be like this and not worn dealing with. When I went in the guy there told me that the owners were burning the Daytona, then family and friends and that should be about five years.

Quote from item description
“The most talked about watch of BaselWorld 2018 and probably the most sought after Rolex in the last 5-10 years. This is a mint, brand new, unworn, fresh from the AD Rolex GMT Master-II in stainless steel with Ceramic 'Pepsi' bezel on beautiful jubilee bracelet. Complete with Tag and warranty. The warranty card is signed and the stickers are removed (the AD's now make you do this in store at point of purchase).

If you are one of the many on a several year wait list, and want to be the first amongst your friends and fellow collectors to have this stunning piece by Rolex then please bid away...I'd imagine this will be gone in hours, not days...”

You understand? “Be the first amongst your friend”!

they can't, but Rolex expects them to. If Rolex determines one has been flipped the AD gets in trouble. They buyer can do what they want, but cant really buy too many watches in the future when they get blacklisted.

I wouldn’t buy from eBay let alone place a starting bid of £15k with a seller with only 22 prior sales. His last feedback being over 6 months ago. Chancer.

There are 18 on Chrono24 at the moment and they're all priced higher than this. Absolute madness at the moment.

Was reading a major UK broadsheet yesterday - turned the first page to see a huge advert for the new Pepsi! What's the point in advertising it when AD's are quoting years to get it?

It's all part of their master plan. Rolex is a marketing machine.

Cannot understand why there are not plenty at ADs world wide how long does it take the Rolex robots to put a pepsi bezel, pop a 32 same size movement as the 31, and Jubilee bracelet in/on a case
