Wow, sorry to bring up an old thread... but you really can't go wrong with the new EXP II.

Both variations are so nice

No need to be sorry, the 216570 is definitely another Rolex piece that has come under serious scrutiny withing the watch community, however, here is the look I give to the naysayers

what are the naysayers saying? this one's got it all. modern sized 42mm case, orange gmt hand, large twinlock crown, matte dial. almost a perfect watch. just needs the glidelock clasp.

Agree with the above, except for the glidelock bit. It isn't supposed to be a divers watch, so no need for divers extension.
The Easylink is plenty enough.

I agree it's almost a perfect watch... Regarding the black dial 216570, folks complained about the phantom hand effect (gloss/matte dial), the hands were not proportionate to dial, i.e. too fat, it's not legible, and so forth... I just read the comments, laugh and entertain the ("epic fail") debates sometimes...

For those that own this stunning watch how do believe the overall wrist presence compares to the SS Sub C?

I Love both timepieces for different reasons, however, the orange hand just pops so the wrist presence and the extra 2mm adds something to folks doing a double take! It's truly a fun timepiece to own and wear!
