ALL BUYERS SHOULD CONTACT ME PRIOR BIDDING ON THIS WATCH!
Apparently, there is something else he needs to tell the buyer, but doesn't want to put it in the listing...

As seller states: Dial refinished and relumed.......and I would add definitely not redone as a dial for this reference. Dial is matte, but repaint job of wording done for an earlier reference, Swiss missing. You need to see plate to see whether original or not. IMHO a fake dial.

Yeah the font, text, cornet etc. All wrong. It's one thing if it's an original dial that is relumed as claimed but another if it's entirely fake as this appears to be. Perhaps the seller just didn't notice...

I think it's clearly stated that the dial is refinished. We can't say if the dial plate is original, but let's just say it is.

As long as the sellers disclosed that item and is not claiming or passing it off as original print then it's good.

Hey fellas, it's my watch for sale. What are your questions? Watch was just serviced with local Rolex certified watchmaker. We came to conclusion that the dial is Rolex but re-done/re-painted.

Questions? From me? None. I think you were honest and up front in your ad.
Well done.

I'll ask watchmaker to take watch apart and take picture of the plate that everybody can comment/express their opinion on it.. I described the the watch to the best of my knowledge after consulting with Rolex certified watchmaker CW21. Guys, please let's refrain from making public judgement, please contact me first if you have questions or concerns. If the dial is proven aftermarket indeed, I will certainly state it in my listing when re-listed.

Even if it is on original plate, in case the writing was not only redone by minor corrections to some flaked letters, but wording is repainted/reprinted not by Rolex itself or a licensed partner than it is a fake, as there has been a manipulation without the consent of the right holder. In that case you are not allowed to sell the watch (or only without dial or with a dial not showing any Rolex markings).

P.S. Dial is definitely not aftermarket, if it bears Rolex markings.
