I just received my 6694 with glossy + gilt dial !
I had a very pleasant transaction with Davide from "Gioielleria Righi". I recommend.
The dial is mesmerizing !

@mineral: can you recommend a strap for this one ?

My 6694, nothing particularly special except the case is un-polished and almost mint.

Here's a little guy too (please excuse my calloused hand, I don't like wearing gloves at the gym):

Big congrats Bo on the arrival of this beauty

Look great on you. I afraid that I can't recommend strap for your 6694 as I mostly wear bracelet and rubber strap nowadays. Gave up the leather strap combo for long time.

Enjoy your 6694 and it feels so comfortable to wear

Not sure if this is vintage enough 1988ish.

Very comfortable daily driver that I don't have to worry about!

Nice shots everyone!

1971 1500 Date : 34mm is very comfortable on the wrist! Great proportions too in my humble opinion

This week I came into my 34mm manual wind 6694 from '85. It seems to be running to COSC, fwiw. Bracelet should be coming in soon too. For now it's on leather. I really like this watch!!!!

My own OP Date (1500) had just been stolen in Taipei 30 years ago, when I spotted this 6106 in a back alley off Linsen North Road selling for US$200. Belatedly I discovered it was in non-working condition (the self-winding mechanism was absent and glue had been substituted for several missing screws). But I fell in love with its face.

The Chinese representatives in Rolex Taipei and Rolex Hong Kong refused to touch it. But as I was walking out the door of their office in the Swire Building in Hong Kong, a Swiss expatriate kindly suggested it be sent back to Geneva, where Rolex Geneva then did an overhaul. Later a helpful Australian client and Rolex collector took it to his watch-maker in Sydney for a touch-up.

After several decades it is still my daily watch. However with the amount of money spent on this OP, (servicing, replacing the crown and crown tube, new crystal), I could easily have bought a shiny new Oyster Perpetual. - But then again, who ever said love makes one behave rationally.

That’s a stunner and a great story. Beautiful piece.

Beside the few 6694 precision which I posted earlier, I have also added 6426 oyster Royal In my collection. The Blue second hand is very difficult to capture in the photo. Cheers
