No, but what is it? A newfangled pressure gauge, one of those tables to work out feng shui, or something?

Yikes! Not something to wear if you just want to glance down and know the time.......

It's probably huge as well.

You put that up there just to tease me, didn't you, Frans. I love it. I don't care what you "purists" say, I lke the black better than the white. BTW, they are not the same watch in different colors. But you have to be an afficionado of them to see the differences.

Haven't you ever seen a circular slide rule, James? It's a new type of calculator that doesn't need batteries.

These watches have their niche...

in watchdom. Breitling, O and W etc all make these sliderule pieces all replete with multi functions. They are likely now a bit anachronistic what with digital read outs on fighter aircraft. There is a large constituency among watch aficinados who admire and collect them.
Imagine bringing your F18 onto a carrier at night and trying to do a calculation on that thing! I don't think so! Although I have bought and sold a 808 Navitimer I still retain a boyish fascination with all the mysterious endless circle of numbers.
As to functionality it is likely as much an icon watch for the arm chair pilots as the Sub is for the armchair divers.

Too late, JJ. Now that I've seen it, I've been drooling over it.

While you’re drooling you can test its water resistance at the same time. Because of that all important question: can it take a shower or a bath?

Frans.
From what I've found it's good to at least 100 m. That should work in the bath, unless you have a really deep tub.
