Yacht master blue dial or deepsea d-blue

Two ads called me on my 30th birthday. But I only can pick one at this time. Tried both, I love all of them. The only concern for deepsea is its weight. Not sure whether I will feel more comfortable after a few weeks wearing. Yacht master is good for wearing, but you know d blue is more beautiful. I will buy one of them for sure this time

need you guys input.

D blue if you got a man wrist... I’d pass on the YM

I would try on the D Blue and spend a few minutes seeing how it will feel to wear. The D Blue will be easier to re sell if that is a consideration. It is more in demand than the YM. That said, if you cannot wear it comfortably, it will not be a good choice.

I made the same choice between the deepsea black (not as nice as blue admittedly) and the Blue YM and bought the YM because the deepsea felt too big for my taste and my 6.75" wrist. I later picked up the SD43 as well which IMO is a better choice for me than the deepsea. No wrong answer, just personal preference.

Iv tried on both. I’d go YM unless you have wrists that can take the heft of the DS.

I think the D-Blue is too big, but it sounds like its the one you want. So if your wrists are >7", I'd say follow your heart!

Thanks all your inputs. I like large watch even though I only have 7" wrist. Actually, TT rootbeer is my first priority. I probably would go JC this time.

Big difference between both watches. I have both and so I can give you some perspective. The better all around watch is the YM. It is sporty but yet has an elegance to it. The JC is a beast but is a good looking watch. Not really a watch for formal occasions. The JC can get heavy with everyday use. The YM blue dial is gorgeous. It can play in the water yet dress up quite well. Resale, if important to you, is better with the YM. Good luck on your choice.

Deep Blue but you gotta have a wrist that can handle it. What's your wrist size?

My thoughts from your post are that if you found it too heavy right off the bad you may want to avoid it.

Hey OP these are two completely different wearing watches! My best bud wears a classic DSSD as a daily and I wear the blue YM so I really do have a good bit of experience with both we are always switching etc as we chat watches. I’m a big guy and the YM is absolutely the smallest wearing watch I have, but it’s super slim case is beautiful and really something to behold. I think the DSSD is a proper big boy’s watch and it just feels like a totally different animal on the wrist. I love it but wouldn’t be a one and only for me.. here’s my Blue YM if helpful, I love wearing it the most!

D-blue and pick up a rubber strap to change it up when you feel the watch is wearing too heavy.

Two of my all time favorite modern watches. I have to wear long sleeve shirts to work 9 months out of the year. That eliminates the D Blue for me. It’s a shame too because the dial is beautiful and with 8” wrists, it doesn’t look out of place on my wrist.

That being said, the 116622 blue is one of the most comfortable watches I’ve owned. Fits great under a shirt cuff, can do anything and go anywhere I can. Looks great dressed up or down. The blue dial is beautiful too. Either way you can’t lose. Good luck and happy birthday

That YM is my favorite Rolex by far..... and I have a Sub.

If the YM had been released when I bought my Sub, I would have definitely gone for the YM. To my great chagrin, when it was time for my wife to buy her Rolex, she picked the YM so now I have to look at it every day on someone else’s wrist.

YM Blue hands down for me. Deepsea is so thick! I tried it on and I have 8” wrists. Was just too thick for me but try them both on. Cost is similar.

If you have big wrists like I do, I'd jump all over the Deep-Blue.

If you don't, wait for something else. Those YM's are hideous.

I have a Blue Dial YM and a Black DSSD. YM gets most of the wrist time because its just so damm comfortable.

I love my DSSD too but if i only had to choose 1, barring any sentimental values, i would choose the YM over the DSSD due to its versatility and comfort.
