The Tudor visits Cancun

Wife and I went to Cancun this weekend sans kiddos (will post a photo report in the Open Discussion Forum soon) and I brought the Black Bay along. I usually bring more than one watch when traveling, but thought the Black Bay could be used as an all-around watch for the weekend.

Pleasantly surprised at how it fared with my casual attire in the pic below with the boats...wouldn't normally opt for the rubber look for dinner, but when you only have one watch that weekend, what can you do?

Love the watch, love the RubberB, love Cancun!

That combo looks as relaxing as the destination.

I love the ETA dial. Have the same watch although I rarely wear it. Looks great on the rubber

It's so easy and versatile; definitely a watch that I don't have to worry about.

I hadn't been back to Cancun since college, and the whole "better safe than sorry" idea was in the back of our minds.

We felt incredibly safe the whole time we were there, but let's be honest - the news of whatever is going on throughout a country will make you think about security more so than if nothing was going on.

So, that meant bringing just one watch that wouldn't garner much attention and could do everything without missing a beat. Probably would've been just as safe with the DD40 on, but wasn't willing to risk it here.

I generally dislike the rubber straps

But this one looks solid. And suits you

Thanks - my BB generally is reserved as my 'rubber' watch; the Rolexes stay on their bracelets.

Yea from that mindset I agree with you. I am also thinking of adding a piece that I could not only add to the rotation but take anywhere and so far am leaning towards the bb58.

Sweet! Thank you JP. Going with the wife to Cancun and Cozumel. while doing research on YouTube, noted a good majority of videos in the Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Playa Mujeres, and Cozumel area mentioned poor water visibility and lots of seaweed.

I think a Tudor is a great add for exactly that, and the black bay line is a modern classic.

Throwing it on the RubberB nakes it that much more incognito in my opinion, and I never worry about whem it's on the wrist.

We were concerned too, but there are sites that monitor it daily and everyday leading up to our trip had minimal to no seaweed, so that cleared our minds.

I recommend going to Isla Mujeres as well - the island historically has been seaweed free, so that's always an option. Will post a few pics from there in the open discussion forum later today!

Great looking watch and one of my favorites. I own the blue and the red but have so many others that I have looked else where but will add the black in the future. It looks like you had a nice time and I always enjoy your pictures.

Thank you for the kind words

The BBN is definitely special, and it's going to be the 1st watch that I hand down to my eldest. I know everyone talks about how thick they are, but I think that's just internet hype - I personally find the shape and fit perfect.
