36 years apart

Gotta be honest, I used to think Datejust are for old mens. Because growing up I’ve seen my grandpa had a TT Datejust as a daily watch.
But now I’m in love with them. To me, they are iconic to Rolex and very classy, can be dressed up or down.

My Datejust duo are 36 years apart. ( 1983 & 2019)

Wow that is nice to see! Don't give up on the jingly jangly jubilee so fast though brother, enjoy it before you change. Otherwise you will never know what you are missing.

I agree, I will change it back sometimes, especially the original one that came with the watch is still in mint almost new condition without stretch. I think the previous owner only wear this DJ on straps.

Totally know what you mean and used to think the DJ was "grandpa's watch" too given the fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet, even more so when the DJ was all gold or TT.

I'm 35 and just picked up a 126234 and was worried about wearing "grandpa's watch." However, my analysts (mostly 20-25 years old) keep giving me compliments on the new DJ. A couple of them are looking at picking up one for themselves, and think the fluted bezel and jubilee are "understated."

I guess I'm "hip"...although these kids would never say "hip" anymore

Yea, especially these new DJ can have so many combinations such as smooth bezel or oyster make it much sporty looking. Not old at all
