Why does the inner circle go to 24 is it for military time?

I guess the TRF owners consensus is RG, followed by WG, with YG coming in last place.

That is correct.. The 24 hour wheel is meant to display the reference time (time in your home timezone) while the handset is meant to show the local time

Here is the official video in all it's cheesy glory!

Saw all three variants this evening in San Francisco. Didn't really care for the YG, but the RG was beautiful!

The WG was ok, a bit understated IMO.

Fell in love with the RG, the chocolate dial is to die for. I just need another $38k for it.

The Sky-Dweller is a modern masterpiece - if you haven't had chance to see one in the metal yet, then do. Touch it, play with the settings, get it on your wrist, and then you'll understand

The RG Sky-Dweller looks great on you, Sam Congrats!

I finished my espresso in one gulp when this came and then developed an urge for hot chocolate

Awesome watch, a truly wonderful masterpiece.

BTW- The other problem is finding people that can afford it

As a Rolex enthusiast and collector I must admit that I was ECSTATIC when I initially heard rumors that Rolex was planning on introducing a new complication! I couldn't wait to see the unveil at Basel 2012! From the Basel unveil we all came to realize that the Sky-Dweller has a bitter sweet design that you either hate or love! Aesthetics aside collectors must draw conclusions that the first Rolex annual calander from our beloved company is one to be reckoned with! I am definitely intrigued to see what the company has in store for us in the future... Could this be a segway into creating a perpetual calander? Minute Repeater (most likely not)? Only one can dream and ponder

I aquired both the WG and RG versions....

At the end of the day reference 326135 was the one that made me scream and say... THIS IS IT!

My local time has been set to NY and reference time to Cairo, Egypt

I am inclined to say that as more folks see the piece in person they too will enjoy what Rolex has done in taking steps to enter the realm of Patek and Vacheron.
That watch sure looks big on the wrist, is it 46mm?

Similar to my 216570 my Sky-D is 42mm, you are correct it does look big on my wrist at the moment as I have yet to size it properly but I don't plan on wearing it much anyway

My 36mm timepieces are cool (please pardon the ash on my hand )...

To be honest my 5130P at 39.5 is the best size for my wrist

awesome!!!! no wonder all you guys opted for the rg version, that is the most balanced in my opinion. not that i am forced to chose any of the 3 versions....

seeing that rg ddII made me think whether you could swap the strap for the ddII bracelet. would be interesting to see.

The watch looks great on your wrist; you should wear it often. I am old (68) and am used to the smaller sizes like 36 mm dj for my 7 1/4 in wrist.

Damn this thread! So I've been thinking about getting the SkyDweller being the first Rolex complication and a beautiful watch. Saw it at my dealer a few weeks ago in White Gold and thought that it was beautiful, but I already have a couple of white gold watches so decided to wait and see what the pink gold one looks like in person. The last few days I've been perusing the forums admiring the pictures of the RG ones, wondering when my dealer will get his first RG one in-stock. Today I wandered into my AD to wish them a Merry Xmas and was greeted by a RG SkyDweller (I probably should have returned his call earlier in the week). Needless to say it was spectacular and I put my deposit on the watch. Now I'm annoyed since I didn't expect the watch to be in so quickly so I didn't bring my Amex with me. Need to wait till next week to pick it up.

I must say that I'm so excited!!!
