So the watch is possibly 2 seconds out, maybe.
If these missing 2 seconds are stopping you from doing something productive send the watch in for a service/adjustment and make full use of the time that you have gained by not worrying about the watch. Leave the watch in the capable hands of a team of Swiss elves refine and adjust your watch back to perfection. When you get the watch back just enjoy it, check the time against a reference periodically but don't get hung up about a second here or a second there, life is too short. |

You do realize COSC is -4 up to +6 seconds per day, right?
This falls right within it.

I asked before on these forums how everyone sets their watch, and how they can calculate time deviations, and for whatever reason a mod deleted it without any explanation.
Maybe they thought I was being intentionally dense in an attempt to troll. But I'm genuinely curious how folks on the forum do it! Is there an app or something? I want to be able to say... "my watch is running with +1/-1 per day!" |

The official standard time at time.gov is what I use to set my watches. From there any computer or cell phone will tell you correct time.

My experience with mechanical watches is the more they cost the worse they keep time. Just unlucky I guess, but I still buy them and really don't care about Quartz accuracy in a mechanical watch.

So if the watch was off by 5 seconds you'd send the watch in for service?
If yes, I think u have a bit of OCD ....if you want perfection perhaps stick with quartz watches It might be +5 a week from now :( Mechanical watched run on gears, springs, and cogs. All mechanical and nothing electrical. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I use ClockSync app on my phone (Android). It provides both atomic and system times, with an offset of <1 second. It uses satellite and is real precise.
