Apple Scam: Be Careful Out There

I just got off the phone with a “representative” from Apple.

And the intersting part is that my caller ID says, Apple.

Long story short there have allegedly been 25-35 login attempts from Russia. So they asked if I was traveling.

I said no and asked what I needed to do.

I had to jump on a laptop and login and allow them access so that they could triangulate the signal and shut it down. This is apparently the only way I can protect myself from these hackers.

Obviously I hung up. But this was scarily real and realistic. It was done very professionally.

I figured it was worth posting. The more we know, the better prepared we are.
