Thanks for the pictures and the info. It looks like they did much better with the lugs on the SDc. Does it weigh much for than the SubC? Do you notice the difference on your wrist?

the weight difference is marginal, which is what i was hoping for.

the biggest difference visually is the markers that continue round the bezel.

Congrats and thanks for the pics. Could you compare the "glare effect" on your new SD to your Sub ND. I've always loved the old SD 16600 because the glare was minimal compared to all the other Rolex divers. I think it has to do with the thickness of the crystal and smaller diameter of the crystal. Was wondering how this effect compares to your Sub ND-C. I would also think the matte dial further cuts the glare. Thanks

It has a Matt dial and has antireflective coating on the glass so no glare at all

Thanks for your response but I think you're mistaken. Rolex does not put A/R coating on their crystals on their watches--either on the outside or inside! What I was referring to...was the fact that the old SD ( compared to all the other Rolex divers Subs and DSSDs) had the least glare effect despite the lack of A/R. The old SD had a thicker flat crystal combined with the smaller diameter, which I believe contributed to this relative lack of glare. All the Rolex divers have this...the old SD had the least. And Im thinking this one has even less than the old SD.

I would think that your SD is much much better than your Sub ND in this regard.

Congrats to you for a great looking piece

But, I'd be curious--next time you look at your Rolex ND Sub in the mirror and move your arm, you'll see a ton of glare. I have one : -). I would bet your SD will have less but again I'm not the one with your watch. Enjoy your new SD
