I called the dispatcher and the driver says he won't be back until 6:45PM. They close at 7PM. The dispatcher confidentially told me there's no way the driver's going to be back before 7PM. Grrrrrrr.

what a buzz kill.

i have had that happen several times, i know it is after the fact, but my preference is now to have fedex location near me "hold for pick up." It has been working out much better since i have started doing it this way.

staying tuned

Bummer to not receive it the day you expect too. My 5167 was delayed a day due to thunderstorms. The wait will only make receiving it so much sweeter. Can you pick it up from the sorting facility in the morning? Can't wait to see it my friend!

I have all of my deliveries held at a FedEx location now too. So much more convenient since I'm at work all day. The one I use stays open until 11pm and gives me plenty of time to get there.

I missed my delivery of my 5711 and was soooo pissed. They told me I could not pick it up at the sort facility because it was direct sig or something. Might have been useless ups....

I am very sorry Mike! The frustration must be killing you. I hope you can get it tomorrow. Have a few scotch on the rocks and the frustration will ease.

yep I too do like this when expecting a watch or something important, it's very close to my home and I get the package much faster that way...

Hey Mike,

Congrats on your new arrival. Hope you can get it today when they open. I have been watching this thread with interest just like others. Good luck today at the sorting facility.

This must be the most anticipated and built-up "incoming" thread in TRF history. It's one for the annals .

I was 100% ready with chilling cold exclusive Krug champagne friday night in the GMT +1 time zone based on Mike's flight and car schedule.

Now it will be a saturday night celebration!

Son of a #%ĄŁ€!?}%!!!! Stopped by the sorting facility to pick it up and ... It's not there! The AD had it redirected to my local FedEx store but I don't get back to my neighborhood until later this afternoon. Well intentioned on their part but damn it all!
