on a serious note, great collection. i dubbed thee King of the PCC.
just amazing, i am happy with the perpetual complications alone so I don't know if I will ever cross the PCC line. If I do, I will ask your advice on it.

Roger, simply wonderful.

I am so happy for you. Thank you for bringing us all along to the unveiling with you.

I think I agree with the others, this must be the best incoming in TRF history.

The gauntlet has now been thrown down to Paul - 4 RM incoming please

Ok so I was asked earlier to compare the beauty and finishing of the 5270 and 5970 movements.

And some more.

In terms of comparing them, they are both pretty impressive (although not at Lange standards in my view). The movement of the 5270 is better spaced out as it was designed for a larger case. The 5970 is designed for a smaller case (3970) and looks cramped as you would expect. In terms of finishing, not a lot in it, but the precision of the hand finishing and striped polishing on the 5270 is better. Of course both are finished by hand, but the quality of this work on the 5270 is slightly better in my view.

Roger, how did I miss this one? This is the best thread EVER on TRF. Great movement pics, BTW.

More close-up pics, please, maybe comparing some finishing details of the same components with the double-split (levers, column wheel, and so on).

Congrats again.

Beautiful and wear them in good health. I love the 5270 - on my list as well. You must wear them at the next Hong Kong GTG if that ever happens on here.

Congrats once again!

Cheers,
Gaurav

Difficult to wear them all in one go Gaurav, but look forward to meeting you at next GTG in HK!
