I have the latest 4 gen subs. New one is for sure wears the biggest and there is that ridiculous large clasp. '6 inch wrists shouldnt even try. Get a pre-ceramic or wear what you like and put on some clown shoes while you're at it to pair it.

Lol brutal, but honestly from my perspective the last gen wears larger than current because of the lugs

It is not all about wrist size. I think also your overall figure makes a huge difference. I know a big and muscular guy with relatively skinny wrists. I think on a guy like him an oversized watch does not look too large at all even tho his wrists might be a little too small for the watch. On a small guy with skinny wrists a huge watch would look more as a way to compensate something :p

Hope this helps … Here’s a series of pictures on my 6.5 inch wrist though the years.

Dj36
YM 37
1675 GMT
LV Sub Date 11
YM 40 Two tone

Just look how different they all wear .. the last 3 are all “40mm”.

It’s all going to depend on your style and what you’re comfortable with. I prefer to error on the side of small, but that’s just me, my style and the reality for me being of smaller stature... Others like big, just depends on you.

Man, I never realized how many Rolex guys had such small wrists lol !!! You all scared me a while back about watches being too big and thick, and I tried on a SD43 and realized it looked kind of small and wasn’t all that thick. I’m 5’6” and 170lbs and never realized my wrist is 8 inches, I originally wanted a Sub41, and I will tell you the Ceramic 40 wears way bigger than the 41. Honestly buy what you want, but if you buy a watch that’s too big, like that sea dweller I saw at the top of the thread, it’s going to look bad. But then again it’s all about what you want anyway. Enjoy

If it were a plastic G-Shock then it’s a pass but a Rolex Sub looks good and is stylish on every wrist.
Completely agree.
