2021 DATEJUST 36 crown on dial defect

I just purchased this from the AD yesterday. I had been waiting for this for a while. I was in a rush when I collected it. I got home and noticed a defect in the dial. The far right prong on the 12 o'clock crown is curved in and not straight.

What should I do?

This looks like the rare "smushed crown defect." You should hang on to it as it might be really valuable someday.

You just got it yesterday and the date wheel is off by 5 days?

Nice try.

Simply, talk to AD, I don't have a spare DJ Wimbledon dial laying around to trade you out.

Go back to your AD and ask for a brand new one only, don’t send to RSC for dial change.

No troll here. It is a gift for future. No point in setting date, I asked him not to. I have my own submariner and my grandfathers day date.
Took it back today they said they have to send it back to factory. Every one in shop was shocked to see it. I told them I would think about it. I assume everyone was suppose to do quality checks.

I wouldn’t accept a serviced watch as new. I wouldn’t let Rolex touch it frankly. I’d get my money back and move on. Way to many horror stories about Rolex service

I wouldn't keep as-is if for no other reason than if that passed QC, what other defects also passed QC.

When do you need the gift for? What I would ask is how long for a new one. While I am guessing it would come back 100% there's the issue of wait time, and knowing it needed repairs before ever being worn. Would leave a bad taste personally, though I realize that's an emotional, not objective, reaction.
