Speedmaster with Hesalite and display case back.

Hello

Can someone help me with this please.

I’ve heard that there used to be a Speedmaster made with a Hesalite ‘front’ and a display case ‘back’. Apparently it was in production about 20 years ago. Has anyone heard of this and, if so, do you have any details of it.

Thanks

The Speedmaster 3592.50 had a hesalite crystal and a sapphire case back.

I think it was discontinued around 1996.

Apollo 11. Caliber 863.

I have the later model with sapphire front and back.

3592.50 and 3572.50 are one of the best references of Speedy IMHO as it gives the best of both worlds in terms of Hesalite crystal and sapphire exhibition case back from the factory.

3592.50 with yellow-gilded 863 movement and tritium dial vs 3572.50 with rhodium finished 1863 movement and luminova dial. Also there are transitional models and differences in bracelet.

Here is a good 3572.50 and 3592.50 article

Thanks very much for this.

I've read the articles and I think they answer my questions so far.

Is it possible to retrofit a clear case back to the heslite?
Any help to source the case back if possible

Omega Boutique could tell you. But the hesalite movement isn’t as decorated, just an FYI.
