I love this. It’s been said that the concept of sharing is difficult for little ones to comprehend. You have it covered which says much about his upbringing and the kind of man he’ll become someday.

OFFICIAL- Forum good news thread (non watch related)

https://www.fox2detroit.com/news/roy...omeless-people

For those that don’t click links, it’s about a 5 yr old girl selling rocks she painted to buy socks for the homeless.

I love how so many stories are around of young people displaying beautiful acts of selflessness.

Have a great day y’all!!

Thanks for your support man, I really appreciate it. Keep spreading good vibes!!

Once I got done at the Ronald McDonald house I was overwhelmed with emotions. I was happy but also incredibly saddened that I couldn’t do more for those kids. So I went to a bar and ran into Wonder Woman and leonidas.

Wow!! Just how big is the guy doing Leonidas??

I don't know that I live near anyone here yet, but I would be in for showing up in costume to help bring a smile to kids faces!!

I’m 5’10”. He had to be 6’5” or more. Hard to tell with the helmet.

Who would you be in costume as?

My little girls both did great at soccer this weekend. Oldest had 3 games and was mostly aggressive and working on her speed, and my youngest turned from being scared of the ball into a beast. So proud.

Team raced our final 2 races of the season and got two 3rd place finishes. With the series wrapped up, we managed 3rd Team Overall, 2nd Young Rider, and 1st Lap Leader. A lot of folks are mentally and physically drained following this compressed season, so to go out like that really is fantastic.

Wife and I own/ run/ manage a semi-pro-ish* women's cycling team, focused on criteriums.

* the hierarchy of 'pro' cycling is kind of weird, and financially doesn't make a whole lot of sense unless you've got the budget to basically buy the term "Professional". We're good enough, and have a solid enough reputation, that we can get by without having to spend the money on a "Pro" designation. If we started racing overseas, we'd have to look into, but when it comes to sponsors, we feel we get them better exposure, better ROI if we stick to the US, and specifically criteriums.

So do you all race indoors as well as outdoors? I’m not a cycling guy but am always fascinated by the indoor races in the olympics.

As a team we don't. Track cycling isn't really well supported in the US. Velodromes (the track) are few and far between...I can only think of 5 off the top of my head. One of our girls races track for her collegiate team, and has a couple national championships, but for us, it just doesn't work out.

https://apnews.com/article/2020-toky...8d41e25acbe939

You can tell the men and women that race track then come over to the crit side of things. Incredible riders with incredible handling skills. They might not be able to long, but when they need to drop the hammer, look out.

This young man is blind and partially deaf, yet he is defying odds and completing events many adults don’t, to raise money for a vision loss charity he believes in.

One of my buddies (who’s son has pretty severe autism) came into my office and told me all about the developments his son made over the weekend. Using some words, making decisions and eye contact. All of which were things they’ve been diligently working on. It made my day!!

I thought so!! I guess it’s autism week in my life as I received a call on my way home from another buddy of mine that coaches middle school cross country. He has a young man on his team who has autism (we’ve spoken about this young man vet the last few weeks, since he joined the team. My buddy had some issues in the beginning because he has never experienced autism directly before (long story but he has done his best to use this as an opportunity to help the young man in question and the team grow). They apparently just had a track meet and one of the 8th graders on the team went back out after finishing and ran the rest of the race running next to and motivating the young man with autism. My buddy specifically said, “he went out and started running with N____, I didn’t have to tell him to.” I had a stressful day and just hearing this choked me up and made my day in the same breath.

Tony, I know exactly what you mean. For about 100 years, I have had this song in my head, really, since I was young. Then, about two years ago thanks to Shazam I discovered the name:

Donovan - Wear your love like Heaven.
