I often read back my posts and think "what a grumpy, combative old man" I am.

I'm not skilled with the written (typed) word and put everything down as I speak it, and without the softening of my facial expressions and hand movements I can seem quite harsh. My dry sense of humour is often lost and taken the wrong way. I read back my posts and sometimes find myself horrified at how I have replied to posts and have often sent a PM to apologise, try and calm things or explain what I really meant.

As for my profile picture it is unfortunate that I look like a young Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise, but that is a cross I must bear.
