126719BLRO Superman

Morning fans. Anyone out there have any ideas on the lead times for a GMT Superman 126719BLRO

Gorgeous looking watch and was wondering if PM is going to make it a bit easier to get than a SS.

126719BLRO with meteorite dial is the hardest one to get but 126719BLRO with blue dial is a bit easier.

126719BLRO Meteorite > 126710BLRO >126719BLRO Blue

Nowadays none of Rolex are easy to get.

Good luck!

Not likely to happen anytime soon I'm afraid... All things Rolex in the UK remain to be seen :)

There are threads here on the forum which have ranked the toughest to get/most rare production models. Depending upon one's opinion, the top three are this watch (126719BLRO), the 116506 and 116508. (One can now likely add the meteorite Daytonas introduced this year to the list). I come from the camp that says this is the hardest of the three to secure. As such, I bought grey. I'm on the list at a number of AD's for a 116506 and am quite confident that it will come in the next year, year and a half. Long answer to your short question is, "I bought this model grey because I thought my chances were slim to ever get one from an AD". Many AD's I walk into while wearing it have never seen one in person. Does this help?

You could get the Blue dial at about a 10% premium if you haggle with the grey dealer, IMO. May be worth thinking about after Xmas when the sales start.

All helpful... and as suitably miserable as I was expecting ;)

Funny old world. Managed to get an Explorer I within a couple of weeks last year and was suggested that If I'd expressed interest in the new Sub closer to release this year they were obtainable... I've got a real horn for the Superman though, beautiful watch. I'll keep everyone posted on progress!

The AD here in DFW didn’t come through? I know you mentioned you were waiting for the BLRO meteorite.

If you’re just looking for the blue dial a trusted seller might be a good option. They are not going for a huge premium over list.

It would be unfair to say they didn't come through - as they could call me any day. The more I studied supply/how many or (how few) were on the grey market/what ADs said to me when I asked-I decided to get it now and enjoy it. I'm quite happy I did. As for the 116506 I mention above, I will not go grey here. I either get it from an AD or don't get it at all...

On the secondary market, I see less of the blue dial than I do the meteorite, TBH. Granted, the markup on the meteorite is more, but, on any given day, it seems to me there are more meteorites for sale. Not sure what that means, if anything.

As far as availability, well, in my little corner of the world anyway, seeing one in person would be the equivalent of spotting a unicorn grazing in your front yard, while getting one from an AD would be like it coming up to you and asking if you would like to go on a ride somewhere.

Funny enough i just got off the phone minutes ago about this watch. She said its nearly impossible for the AD to get and I have been buggin her for 2 years. Anyway, the grey dealer might be my only option here.

Got mine last year after about a 6 week wait time from an AD I hadn't dealt with before. Large multi city AD. My thoughts on precious metal are most are obtainable minus a very short list (green daytona, meteorite gmt, meteorite daytona). The blue dial one should be gettable but will be a little bit of a wait I'm sure. I wouldn't pay 10k extra for immediate satisfaction.

I would have the blue dial if I had a choice, that's the grail for me.

Most people that have 126719BLRO Blue dial didn't want to flip because they cannot make much money to sell to the secondary dealer unlike the meteorite dial, that might be the reason why there are more meteorite dial on the secondary market. Most people that like blue dial, they can wait to get it from ADs with some wait time.

Well you cant have a blue dial superman though. The meteorite is what makes the watch from another planet like the super hero. Needless to say the last thing we need is another nickname for a watch.

Are all Rolex's now to be nicknamed after a DC or Marvel character now? Lol
