PS
This is a feedback forum, good or bad... It does not say only post good feedback.
If you are going to edit my thread you need to edit the title of EVERY thread...

So and So saying one member is a great guy, terrific or whatever is just an opinion like my threads title was and I fully explained in my post why he is a flake just like people explain why they think one member is terrific or whatever.

Editing the title changes the entire thread and also puts other members at risk as people check here before finalizing the sale but not all read the entire feedback post. Someone may read the title and assume he is a great guy and then due to the mods editing my post he very well could end up wasting another members time.

I'm in agreement with you here. I don't believe that the title should have been amended.

And I'm going to add to this and say that the original title of the thread should be replaced as that is the view that was presented by the OP (JYogi - Jeremy) who is also a paying member of the forum as well.

I'll say that I do understand modifying certain details of a post title when people do not RTFT, as we had that issue a while back. I think that's perfectly acceptable, but modifying the title of a reference or Who's Who title seems a little bit like overreaching or over-stretching. No offense to you Paul. Just was a little taken aback by this.

I agree with you 100% If the shoe was on the other foot and you sold the watch he said he was buying without you telling him then you would be cast as the evil seller on this forum. Editing your OP is wrong and sends out the wrong message that this is nothing to get excited about and perfectly normal to do and get away with.

Wolfgang you brought up a GREAT point I didn't even realize.
If I had something for sale, someone said theyd buy it at my asking
price and then I went and sold it for more elsewhere I would be marked as
EVIL (as one should be) but its funny how this isn't being seen this way.

I really do hope the mods will chime back in.

The more I think about this the more unhappy I am.

I agree. I think Jyogi is entitled to his opinion and this is why this section was added to the classifieds in the first place. Good deals or bad deals...let's hear what you have to say about deals done here on the forum. The title change has made the thread totally misleading.

I am not on the sellers or the buyers side because I don't really know what happen. However, I do agree with you and JYogi for amending the title. It is misleading. If JNOV really at fault, then he should come out and apologize and straight things out. If not, then he should defend himself.

Title has been changed. Still doesn't quite capture the essence of the initial, but is getting closer.

"JNOV reneged on a deal" - That's the new title.

I am not happy with an member being branded anything unless they have scammed another member and left them thousands out of pocket, even then they are alleged scammers or scumbuckets.

To label someone as a goon, a flake, a lowlife, a bum. I'm just not happy with it and I don't really care if everyone else is cool about such labeling.

Paul's spot-on. The title describes the nature of the transaction between the seller and the buyer, which is the raison d'etre of this section of the forum. Labelling members, however, is not the raison d'etre of this section of the forum.

That's fine but I am sorry
I will no longer continue to contribute or be an active member
in this board.

I hope sticking up for someone simply because they donated a
few bucks was worth loosing a member who donated to the board
with quality posts and information as well contributed the past two
years.

JNov is a SPINELESS FLAKE. If he wasn't he would
have been man enough to stand up for himself here.

I will still stop in to read messages from time to time but I will no
longer be participating in a board that edits it's members when it
comes to something like this.

Good luck to all and thanks to all of those people who aren't sitting
back wearing Rose colored glasses looking at the computer screen.

The mods have made their choice and that's fine it is their right to
handle their board the way they want as this obviously is not the
members board and this post proves that.

I feel sorry for the next person whose time is wasted
by this FLAKE (and trust me it will happen again).
When it happens then it will not be JNov or the other
parties fault but I will leave it there............

Done. If you want your pledge refunded then ask Steve and I'll make good on the refund when it's done.

Hopefully all such posts in the future will start with "Problem with <member>" and not insults or slating.

Then the rules will have been adhered to. I know that only 15% actually read them since I performed a poll a while back.

Paul,

Honestly, don't you see that you're standing up for a member who hasn't even had the decency to come and defend himself on this thread? I think it is honorable of you that you're not allowing a member to be called names, and i do see your good intentions, so don't take offense to this. I just think if you're drawing parallels, Jeremy has given a wealth of knowledge to this forum - forget the monetary contributions. The other guy - not so much. I, for one, would hate to lose JYogi. Again, I am quite aware that this is not a democracy, but don't think that sitting quiet is an option.

I am standing up for the rules, not the member.

The next "<Insert member here> is a flake/goon/idiot/scumbag etc" thread that I see I will delete and issue infraction points.
