Wow, I frequent that AD often and was just there a few weeks back. They’re a pretty sharp bunch there so I assume they checked driver’s license before running the card. Probably didn’t bother looking at the photo and comparing given the mask.

I’m surprised the suspect was able to get two relatively high charges on both cards without them being declined for suspicious activity. Makes me wonder if the owner of the wallet was targeted and not at random? The AD will be SOL given the bank’s fraud protection.

I would imagine he had an idea of who's wallet he swiped - this way he know they guy could carry the spend.

Visited my AD recently. When I walked in, the store security guard made me lower my mask and "smile for the camera". I was happy to do it. Should be SOP at all AD's.
