Broke Rolex

I’m sorry if this is the wrong forum as I am completely new around here. My boss recently severely damaged his Rolex and he is worried it is unfixable. Is there anyone who can shed light on whether his Rolex can be repaired? He has a 1995 presidential Rolex. It looks as though the back case has opened and the watch has stopped winding completely. The day is blank and the date shows month/date. Can anyone help me understand this? I am trying to bring it to a repair shop but he wanted some input from other rolex owners.

Take it to a Rolex Service Centre. They will repair it.

So you signed up to the Rolex forum specifically to ask this question on behalf of someone else because they are too friggin up themselves to do it.
Tell your boss, his watch is ruined. Best chuck it away. He needs a new one. Maybe a Patel Philip next time. They are more robust.

Their user name is, "execassistant" so... Yeah, probably. It's a job. And someone has to do it.

To the OP, take it a Rolex dealer and they can get it to Rolex to have it fixed for you.

Your boss is lucky to have you as their assistant. Pics would help, but I'm sure it can be fixed by RSC. Good luck!

The more we discourage the new users from sticking around, the less chances of increasing the future potential flipper population

Time for a service at the Rolex Service Center. No problem. Keep the parts intact. If the case-back detached tape it together as some parts might be reused.

There are Rolex service centers in NYC or DALLAS. You can mail or deliver it to them and they will give or mail you an estimate for repair. At that point he can make the call. Remember even if it costs a lot to repair folks here can tell estimate the value with pictures. Good luck and let us know how it turns out.

I don't understand the harshness and lack of civility from some people on here. A person asks a question and needs help and some people just pounce. Not everyone is a Rolex expert...obviously.

Not sure exactly where you are in California but you do have choices if you are in Southern or central CA. There is an Rolex Service Center in Beverly Hills, LA Watch Works and The Buyers Group in Pasadena. Also, Rolliworks in Stockton, CA I think. All do excellent work from the comments on this forum, and I have used Rolliworks in the past. They specialize in case repairs too. Do a search on this forum for LAWW and Rolliworks they come up quite frequently. Good luck.

There is terrible advice being given in this thread. The watch is irreparable. Best use for it now is for parts. PM me and I will buy it for parts value.

Lol. If it’s a Rolex, it an be repaired...for a price. Just about Nothing is unfixable. As others have said, send it to Rolex and they will take care of the rest.

I agree about the "harshness" of some replies. I've seen it in other threads also. I guess those who make such comments were born smart and didn't have to learn about anything. There are some newbies, like me, who are trying to gain knowledge. Lighten up.
