Have to agree mate Rolex have stopped being watches bought to be enjoyed and worn with pride everyday. Now by many on the forum lately seen now as little more than ££££$$$$, instead of one of the finest mechanical watches made today.

Sadly so true. I've totally lost interest in owning them. With my other watches the only questions asked is about design, history and so on. Love the history of Rolex and this forum is fantastic, but, a break from owning the brand was called for. I'm sure I'll own one again!

Thank you Peter, the endless shopping/pricing threads diminish not on the brand but watches in general.

I agree Peter - and you’ve been a stalwart defender of the faithful here who see this as a great step to expand upon the original “What’s it worth?” Rule. Now you’ll need to put in a lot over overtime to seek and enforce. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

We will be taking a hard line on the following (and like) threads:
Prices going up? Prices going down? Is this price reasonable? Is this a good investment? Can I get a discount & how much? Is now the right time to buy/sell??

Is there anything non-Mods can do to help? e.g., clicking the Report button when a new thread gets started, or other way(s). Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro

Clicking the report button is really just for spam, abusive posts, trolls, gun pics, etc.

Outstanding. Perhaps this will help brink back some of the horological core members that have been taking a extensive break from TRF when the commodity exchange opened up a few years ago on the forum.

Had made the site a bit more boring and has muted the more contentious topics. I am not sure that is good in the current whirlwind environment but we will see. It would not be the first time I was incorrect.
