Aerospace Avantage

I've long toyed with the idea of owning an Aerospace but was never keen on the older models for various reasons. An opportunity came up recently for a 2007 model and I pulled the trigger. Interesting to reflect on the fact that this timepiece is already 10 years old.

As expected, extremely comfortable to wear, balanced and looks nice, despite being a departure from my 34-40mm usual range.

A nice value for a watch with interesting pedigree.

Very nice and it looks good on you. I'm a fan of the Aerospace too. I have the blue dial Evo. I love its comfort and utility. Enjoy!

Save for a couple of swirls here and there and a bright spot on the clasp, it is indeed very well preserved. Trouble is keeping from the temptation to fiddle with it, activate backlight etc just for the sake of it

Has not left the wrist since I got it.

I love the Aerospace and have had a bunch of them over the years. Sometimes I buy non-functional early models and replace the movements before passing them on to new owners. Especially like the Advantage, even more than the EVO, and looking forward to the new reincarnation due out soon. Have had quite a few of the military versions which are my favorite.

Never had one, but always wanted it. I understand that they are pretty thin too so must be really comfortable.

I think that looks good.

I've often fancied an Aerospace, but I've never had a Breitling, what is the general opinion on these Aerospaces ? I've heard that they are very accurate, but the battery doesn't last long and is expensive to change, is this correct?

Thanks

They are super quartz (TC quartz) so they are accurate no doubt. I think they have very good clean looks since all function are control by the crown and there is no buttons.

The battery is rated 3-4yr depends on usage, so its not that bad. I heard that some AD can do the battery change cheaper than sending it back to Breitling. You can do DIY battery change, but the screws that holds down the battery clip are tiny ...
