I'm also concerned about this one: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Vintage-196...53.m1438.l2649

There are no straight-on shots of the dial, and the lume on the hands and dial just looks too perfectly matched and aged. The seller also a refinished dial listed where the lume looks very similar. And the wear on the inner edge of the insert is strange. Great case, though.

It wouldnt be the first time. They often relist watches which makes you wonder what happens to all their mysterious buyers.

I don’t see how they wouldn’t realize that...the seller fully disclosed it in the opening sentence in the description. Nothing was hidden.

“Vintage Rolex Oyster Perpetual Submariner timepiece from 1966. It is a men's Rolex Submariner steel watch with a matt dial and hands. Dial and hands looks to be aftermarket (see 8th pic) Everything else is correct.”

Guys you are missing my point. I already mentioned that the seller described it as aftermarket. I wasn't targeting the seller, more as a reminder to the buyer.

I was hoping if the buyer didn't see it first time around, he would think again on paying $15K for that watch. Might be too late now.

Your first post says different. Again - you need to read carefully first, post here second. Plus you put this in the main forum, not in watch out.

Not my argument - but he states "dial and hands are aftermarket" - you implying he never got that from the listing?

Well thank you for your concern. I am sure the buyer can always return it, right? ;)
