Seiko from Singapore

I have noticed several folks here on the forum mention getting Seiko watches from Singapore. Is that a good idea and is there a prefered vendor? TIA, Bill P.

Here is one I have.

This one should be my beater watch at work. I got it below $100
and in my opinion itīs a great watch for that kind of
money.

Nearly a year after that one morning the watch have stop
and when I look at it I could see the Seiko logo was not
in place.

Here it is.

Ok, out with the movement.

Here it should be.

And here it is.

And my now no name Seiko.

Maybe we should take a look at the movement when itīs
open?

And now today, nearly a year later the strap have been
so beaten up so itīs time to replace it.

Here is a view of the strap.

And a dirty case.

Maybe I should clean the watch too?

And rinse it from soap.

Now it not so dirty longer.

Ok, down with the nose in the drawer and see what
I can find.

Ahh, a nice Hirsch strap.

Mmmmmm, carbon fibre.

see next post.....................

And the final result and the next project will be a new crystal.

I hope you enjoyed the tour and it was worth the waiting.

A few weeks later I lost it.
