Last week I received a visitor! Before he came over I hid all my Rolex's and Seiko Dive watch. For some reason I didn't bother bringing out the Seiko after the visit, about 4 or 5 days passed before I remembered that my Seiko was hid somewhere, but I went blank on where I hid it. It has been 4 days now, and I stll can't remember where I placed it. Has this ever happened to you?

Nope, not with my watch.. But definately other things

I hate it when that happens... I never lose stuff, just misplace it. Usually I move it in an effort to put it in a 'better' spot. When next I look for it, I go to where I'm used to seeing it, guess what... Gotcha

, now the chase is on. Good luck on finding it. It'll hit you when you least expect it. DOH!

I misplaced my gold wrist chain last week. Again. I took it off to work on my car and remember putting where it'd be safe. Now I can't remember where "somewhere" is. Oh well, it'll turn up.

Yes currently I can't find a string of Pearls that my Grandmother left me when she passed away. I 'hid' them when I went on holidays to Hong Kong.

No big deal right? Until my Mother asks about them

It's been 10 days now, and still the Seiko has not turned up. I am starting to wonder what's up!

Finally found the Seiko! It was under the upper portion of this double folded piece of white paper, just 3 feet from my recliner. The watch had settled into the freshly cleaned carpet, and showed no visable signs from the top of the paper. I am super glad I finally found it.

Hey thats great hiding.... I've made a mental note for next time (and made a link to this thread just in case I adopt this method and then forget about this method) I need to hide valuables....

Thanks! It was not because the watch was expensive, but the time period and how it was acquired. In 1979, I road a 750 Honda motorcycle from Pennsylvania to Florida in 26 hours, stopping 9 times to refuel. After being in Florida for a week helping a friend out! I purchased the dive watch in a Sears store in Hollywood, Florida. after 3 weeks in Florida I road the bike back, this time taking 2 days to return.
