Seiko Lume

I am getting ready to send my old 7a28 Seiko to coserv for maintenance. I was talking to another guy here with the newer unjeweled 7t62 chrono. The lume on that thing is insane, and puts my Sub to shame. We both had our watches under our sleeves. I tunred out the light and held them up to each other. You could barely see my Sub, while his Seiko shined bright.

Yeah the illumination on my Seiko Diver's much superior to the Sub. I think even better than my Marathon SAR. Lume color's different too. The Seiko's blue-green while the sub and SAR are green.

Sensational pics. My Orange Monster is too cool too... way bright. Pity I can't upload a shot. The thief who broke into my place took my card reader too... Bastid!!

Yes, when you are talking lume, Seiko is much brighter than Rolex, which I would describe as being only average. In terms of lume, I would say the better performers are Seiko, Omega, Girard Perregaux and Panerai. Of course, there are the companies which use the tritium vials, like Luminox and Ball and they are even brighter yet and don't need light to recharge either, they are bright all the time.

On the days that I wear my Black Monster, I can read the time during the night when it's on the dresser about 10' away from me. It glows all night long too
