If you had to...

...reduce this collection down to four pieces to live with forever, which four?

Hmm, I can only approach this from the perspective of what I'd like in my collection, or already have. For me it would be the Blue Royal Oak, the Reverso, the Seadweller, and the Speedmaster.

I appreciate the other watches for what they are, but with the exception of the white Royal Oak which I also quite like, the rest do nothing for me.

Same - I can only offer from my perspective which is built around movement and then aesthetics. Nautilus, Pepsi, While Dial AP, WG Daytona.

Is this just an exercise or do you actually have to pair down?

RO Blue dial
Sea Dweller (but on steel bracelet)
BLRO
The final place is a struggle to decide between RO white dial and Daytona.

Kinda just an exercise. But I’m always toying with ideas and there is a part of me that would like to trim the collection down, and then save for ever and a day to get either an RM67-02, a Patek 5270, or a Milsub.

But, I also tend to have four watches in rotation at any one time, with the rest in my safe. So I might for the hell of it, listen to the consensus on here to pick the four for the February!

If you had to...

If that were my collection and I needed to trim it down, I’d keep the 5990, blue Royal Oak, Daytona, and Pepsi. Now you have your own reasons for buying each one so I can’t take that into account. But I went from 8 pretty carefully selected watches down to two last tear. After the first 4 for 1 move (first round of “cuts” - sold four to buy a higher end one) I waited a bit and when I knew it was the right move for me did another 4 for 1 move.

15400(?) Silver, 5990, 15710, and a lucky dip from the 3 Rolex and the JLC.

The Patek Chrono, AP Diver, Rolex GMT, and the Reverso, with the objective of maximum brand and function diversification. Great collection

Had a hard time coming to any conclusion... Based on what you have got it is:

Daytona, Sea Dweller, Speedmaster, 15450 blue.

On an individual basis I prefer the AP Diver over that Sea Dweller but I think one AP is enough. Now, if you had a 5711 instead of the 5990, I'd pick the following which I prefer over the earlier four:

Daytona, AP Diver, Speedmaster, 5711.

Great collection. For my lifestyle I would consolidate to BLRO, OF Daytona, 5990 & RO Blue.

Love them all....

But, if I "had" to choose 4 out of that lot:

* Blue RO
* WG Daytona
* BLRO
* Speedy

I’d do these 5
Royal Oak Offshore Diver | Royal Oak Blue 15450 | Daytona 116500 | JLC Reverso | Omega SpeedMaster |

Speaking objectively, I think you could easily get rid of the Speedy Reduced, the white dial RO and the ROO and have a nice six piece collection and lose nothing.

If forced to reduce to four, I'd keep the blue dial RO, the Reverso, the Nautilus, and the Pepsi.

Pepsi 5990 Daytona seadweller.

If I take into account your wrist size vs mine I’d swap the Seadweller for 15450 blue.

Your collection is incredible. It makes the Pepsi look like it came to work in its pajamas.
