The 5164 is nice but I'd rather have a bit more robust daily watch with GMT such as a nice old Rolex 1675 or a 16710. Scratched watches before on flights etc and thought of using 5164 for frequent travel use isnt too appealing, pretty delicate things.

The 5167A is pretty perfect for me, its a stunning watch on the wrist and very light.

I LOVE the way the jump hour works on the 5164. It's an amazingly great design. However when it's justified "because of travel" I can't help but chuckle.

When you can get the time, or any time, on your phone, it’s all just about how the watch tickles your fancy.

I absolutely love how neat the complication on the 64 is.

And I also agree with you guys. But I still love it.

It's the coolest GMT complication i've ever seen.

I try to avoid carrying a phone as often as possible, so I actually do use a watch to reference time. That said, I definitely don't need Patek and Rolex watches to do it!

I don’t hate the 5268 but I do like the 5164 quite a bit more. It’s also quite a bit more expensive lol.

Same for me. I understand why some may prefer the 67.. but for me-- the 64 all the way. I picked one up right after it was released and at an AD and discounted..

I didn’t care for the 5167 but fell in love with the 5164. To steer the convo in a slightly different direction I think I didn’t care for the 5167 because I couldn’t help but compare it to the 5711. And for me there is no doubt that 5711 > 5167. But the 5164 holds up on its own! Especially since when first introduced there was no travel time option in the Nautilus 5990.

I hear what you say, but personally I think a 5711 and a 5167 are very different and are both worthy pieces to own in a collection. Just because they are date only shouldn’t mean it’s one or other. The aquanaut feels very different on the wrist vs an nautilus.
If anything an ap15300/15400 etc could be considered too similar to a 5711. But as far as a 5167, I think they are mutually exclusive and interesting.

I sold the 5164 for 5167. No regret at all. I much prefer the cleaner dial and date window on 5167.
