15400ST - Covert to Strap?
I would guess this has been posted about 100 times or so; but I have been thinking about putting a strap on my 15400ST. I know that I need some sort of conversion 'kit' so-to-speak with the ends to connect to the strap, has anyone had any luck with their AD for those? Ends + a deployment clasp I'm looking at $1,000 or so (+cost of strap).
Any thoughts/advice are helpful. |

Contact APSC in clearwater. They have everything you need. No boutique or AD keeps these kinds of things in stock.

+1 also you can search the forum because I remember a member listing all the required pieces for the conversion. I went the easy route and ordered the band from Rubber B that has the plots in it already for less than $300 Here is mine and a photo from their site

The leather alone costs $1,000 (CAD). It will be significantly more with the deployant.

I don't think there is a way to get around the crazy cost of the conversion kit and strap/clasp. Maybe if the model is a grand comp or something and you have them throw it in when purchased. But we are talking about a 15400. But it is well worth it. Always go OEM if possible, Rubber B is nice but I went OEM and didn't regret it. If you can afford a 15400 you can afford the conversion kit at strap/clasp. Good news is the conversion kit and clasp only needs to be bought once.

APBands is now making an aftermarket conversion kit including the metal plots now at a more reasonable cost. No personal experience with it, but cool that someone is doing it properly at least.
