Looking for opinion on 16750

Hello there,

I'm slowly looking for a nice birth year (1981) GMT (ideally on jubilee, but watch is more important than the bracelet to me). I'm in EU and limited with local sellers (fees + taxes). And the prices are crazy now...
I have a two watches on my radar so far, from different dealers in Germany.
I know it is impossible to evaluate a watch from just one picture, but, if taking that serials and movement are ok on both, which one appeal better to you?

One on the left has a blueback insert and maybe almost too sterile for the age. (probably due to professionally refinished case). The one on the right has redback insert and cost 2k more.

Would like to hear your thoughts.

Thanks!

I'd always go for the more robust Oyster bracelet myself, if all else is equal.

You may wish to change the heading: the GMT-Masters at that time were 16750 but you have typed 16570, the code for a later Explorer II.

Thank you for the reply and your option. Love Oyster on my Sub.
Misspelled the reference, thanks for pointing this out. Fixed now.

I personally prefer the look of jubilee on GMT, but that's subjective since there is 2k difference I would go for the left one. Out of curiosity what are the prices ?

Love the patina on the right but I'm not sure it's worth an extra 2K. Also the red and blue back were both correct for this period. Mine on my 16750 is red but no one knows but me. I wouldn't focus on the bracelet as the other could be sourced later. Its nice to have both bracelets.

12k and 14k.
Looking how 16750 coming closer and closer to 1675, I think if I shouldn't wait a bit and add a bit to get a four digit ref. But no quickset... Not sure.

Interesting, thanks! I was also always thinking that the bracelet is most interchangeable part and was focusing on the dial and the case.

I’ll tell you, I’ve had a 1675 and with the small twin lock crown, it’s a misery to set the date. I much prefer the 16750 and it’s more rare with the matt dial.

Love the look of the right one. Tough call for the extra cash though. Really like the dial!

Thank you!

Is it possible to know service insert from original on GMT?
Like on Sub?

Exactly why I went with a 16750 over a 1675. Well, the quickest and the fact, I could save a few grand.

Disclaimer, I know next to nothing so don't put much weight in my opinions. That said, I think they both look amazing. Patina appears to match on dial and hands. Could be relumed, but who knows.

Personally, based on the information you have provided, I would go with left because it looks great and it's significantly less.

Is the B&P situation the same on both?

Thank you! Both no B&P...
