I am thinking for GMT-II 116710LN but now em bit confused between GMT-II 116710LN and the top most watch in the collection, could you please tell me the model number with your review about this watch.

I’ve gotten rid of the 114270 and the 14060M. Replaced it with a 116710LN which has been in my eye for a while, now looking for the right 16220 configuration to add. It’s been tough to find. I want the exact one pictured in a Y serial only.

3185 - 3186 - 3285

If I can find a clean 16700 / 16750 / 1675 to add I would.

Instead of making a new post, I’ll just add to this.

2020 will end this way.

I ended up selling the 114270 and the 14060M and acquired a 116710LN for 2020.

The next one on the chopping block will be the 2201.50 “D” movement Planet Ocean. I am not much of a diver or swimmer and had nearly stopped wearing it altogether in 2020.

I haven’t decided what to add after the PO leaves.

We have similar taste. I have the same PO and LN. I am also on a waiting list for the BLRO and intend on buying a Speedmaster when it’s upgraded in 2021.

Excellent watches. The PO 2500 caliber has been my favorite, and i've owned all three variations but can't seem to hang onto them. I love them, but i'm not a diver or a swimmer so its been a struggle justifying keeping them.

I do race cars and I do travel alot, which is why I guess Chrono's and GMT's have been more of my flavor. Plus the W/R on them are sufficient enough for those occasional dips in the pool.

Get the speedy, you won't regret it.

Thanks for the kind words. I will definitely get a speedmaster one day. My only concern is if I acquire the BLRO what the would be the long term future of the LN?

Can they both exist in a collection?

Yes they can.

I got the LN after the BLRO and I don’t regret it at all, it depends on what you want to achieve out of your collection.

I like the ability to go from a “flashier” BLRO to a more subtle “LN” depending on the occasion. The five digit LN is on the same boat of more subtle and low key and it makes its appearance at certain events (it was a wedding gift from the wife and it will be handed down to my son when he’s of age).

So it really depends on how you define and justify it.
