Your Opinion wanted
I just picked this up, liked the look of it.
Great quality watch, sapphire crystal, solid links, screw pins, and a swiss quartz movement, ceramic bezel. I do not care for Homage watches. Nothing wrong with them as long as they don't pretend to be the real thing, but not for me. When I bought this, I knew it had the ploprof hands, but did not consider it a homage watch. GP uses these hand combo and I think Oris might as well. I thought it looked different than the ploprof as it did not have the special extra wide protruding case of the ploprof 600 and no mesh bracelet. But now after getting it want to see what the Omega folks think, thus wanting your opinion. Do you think this watch is trying to look like an Omega? Or does it just have similar styling? Either way I'll enjoy it for sure. But interested in your thoughts. |

Looks more like a Rolex case and bracelet, with Omega hands and dial. Sort of like the best of both.

Thanks for the replies. Did some more research, my watch appears to be quite different (case, crown, date) from the new Proplof, but does kinda look like the baby proplof on steroids.

I don't think it's an Omega homage, there's no Omega like that.
The only thing that looks similar are the hands like you said. Nothing like the Baby Ploprof. |
