Nautilus TT 5980/1AR-001

So I saw one of these in person on my last trip --- I've never seen one before --- and, of course I tried it on and had to really like it (shocker)

I looked on the forum and don't see much about this watch. I don't recall seeing any incoming or really anyone asking about it.

Have I just missed the threads or maybe I'm just the only one that likes it?? :)

Love to hear some feedback on your thoughts...

I like it, but TT watches don't seem to be the most popular anymore.

We all love the blue sunburst dial, much like the Subc's, it's just that the Nautilus in TT is not that popular but I don't really mind it actually, price is a little on the high side for one as well I think.

I absolute love this model. I am glad I gave this purchase months to really sort it out. I have the 1R and wanted another 5980 to wear when I needed a watch that is under the radar. Had I bought it first, I am not sure I would have purchased the 1R. The blue dial is so stunning. I also rationalized the purchase by deciding on passing on the 5711. I was on three lists for one and had not received the call.

wow, that is so nice! i'm having that same debate --- 5711 blue vs 5980/1ar. Assuming the same price, what would everyone do? Stick with the 'original' or go 5980/1ar? One or the other - and you can't say both :)

The 1ar will be approximately double in price. If I had one available from an AD with my name on the warranty card, the 5711 would be on my wrist.

Go 5711 Blue and use the difference to save up for a second PP because you will definitely want another

They could have put it in the 5711/1R but I think chocolate works beautifully with RG so I'm happy enough, esp as I have the YG Subc and the two would probably be too similar.

It is a stunning watch, saw it in real and that blue dial is just amazing, I usually don't like chronos and TT but for this one I could make an exception, really beautiful piece

That model is the one to have. Sooooooo different and unique. I wish had said yes when it was offered to me almost 8 months ago. Now I am on a waiting list... darn. This beautiful photos will have to do till it arrives.
