Manual Wind 3 hander

Currently looking for a simple manual wind 3 hander. Looking at the GS SBGW231

and the Nomos Tangente.

Also looking at a couple automatics... JLC Master control and IWC Mk XVIII.
Looking for some opinions from the forums!

Budget?
New only or pre-owned?

Around 5... 1-2k either side... new or pre owned doesn’t really matter to me.

Been thinking about getting it too. Better stop looking or else you know what happens.

I really like that Grand Seiko! That would be my choice in that price range.

I've never seen the SBGW231 before but it being a manual wind GS of course I had to Google it... It's 37mm and <12mm thick... Now I want one!

What a stunner!

The Nomos is lovely and a really great value, even new, but look at the finishing on the GS. Nomos takes a back seat in this case I'm afraid.

Indeed.... working on it

I love German watches but I’m leaning toward the GS as well... I can actually probably get both for a little over 5k

I'd definitely go with the Seiko.

GS for sure, I would like to see that in the metal, from my understand the dial is cream/lemon and not silver. There is a silver dial however, but that seems to be white gold only. Love the general design though.

Nothing wrong with Nomos but GS is on another level.

Update: I was over in Seattle and they have a Nomos AD... I put it on and couldn’t say no! Still looking at the GS... for the price I don’t see anything wrong with having both

Keeping it German on my drive home!

Congratulations on your choice. I definitely can see both it and the GS in a collection.
