Glidelock sizing question

First I got the LV Sub C. Have 5 links + 1/2 link on the 12 side.

Got my WG Sub and had 6 links on 12 side no half link, and it was too big so I had 1 link removed, and now is very good with 5 links on 12 side.

Also went crazy and picked up a Sub C LN which I am wearing now, with also 5 links + 1/2 link on 12 side.

Thinking now that I should remove 1/2 links on both of my SS subs, because when I make the watch as tight as I want it----I only have like 1/8 of an inch adjustment left to make it tighter. I was thinking without the half link that it would possibly fit better. Opinions ?

Do you guys leave a lot of adjustment either way ? Thinking it's silly to have the adjustment almost run out on the tight end when I can remove the half link and fix that.

Another question. I got my WG Sub from an AD that doesn't always have a watch maker on the premises. So another AD that I purchased my LN from, they pulled out a link from my WG Sub. But my salesman put in my LN purchase into their computer so that they didn't charge me to fix my WG Sub that I didn't buy from them.

But now I also want to get, I think the LN that I did buy from them, adjusted by taking the half link out. And on top of that I also think I want to get the 1/2 link out of my HULK.

Should I expect them to take the half link out for me on both watches ?
How much if anything would be a reasonable thing to pay for having them take one link out of a watch they didn't sell me ?

Nothing right ?

Thanks
Deep

How would they survive if they charge you nothing?

Can you not adjust the actual glidelock for the best fit?

It is quite easy to do it yourself with the right tool.
