Size difference? >>>>

A fellow watch geek have these two Rolex Submariner. Both bought brand new from the same AD in Denmark. The 116613 Gold/Steel in august 2009 and the 116610 steel in august 2012.

He (and I) believes there is a tiny difference in the size of the markers. The 116613 Gold/Steel markers seem to be a tiny bit larger than the one at the 116610.

Anyone else heard of, or noticed this?

Thanks.

That's interesting!

Maybe it's because the AD markup has become smaller?

Well they do look different in that picture but I don't know if that's the case...

There's only one way to know, open them and measure them!

Hmmm, there does seem to be a slight difference, although I have read somewhere on TRF that Rolex does tend to change these every now and then. I'm sure Peter will be along shortly to provide a definitive answer.

It could be simply down to the picture size magnification nothing more, trouble today loupe mania and alignment points, get a bigger attraction today that the actual Rolex watch.

wouldn't be at all surprising if there's a discrepancy, rolex does use a lot of different parts suppliers...

Yep they do look bigger, but I'm with Peter......It is what it is, so put the loop away and enjoy it.

What I think is more striking is how out of proportion the case is to the bracelet. How they think this is ok, just puzzles me to no end. This photo really underlines that.

You guys have better eyes than I do. I've never thought about comparing mine down to the size on the markers.

Time to enjoy both now!!!!

Well, the owner of the watches is very pleased with both, despite the difference. No problem at all – just curiosity.
The question was only if anyone else had heard of, or noticed this?

Two more pictures from the owner.
The difference is just as noticeable IRL.
