Becoming obsessed...

With the 116509 with slate grey arabic dial (you know the one with lume on the numbers)

why is this model so hard to find pre owned. not popular? nobody likes the metallic grey dial? whats the deal?

i love it but cant seem to find it anywhere! the black/charcoal dial seems to be much more popular

thoughts, opinions? wrist shots?

The Daytona line has never appealed to me... Ever. To each their own!

They look great but I much prefer a date option.

First rule of watch collecting: don't become obsessed! ;-)

I had a slate dial on a 116520 Daytona. It looks great, but not very easy to tell time at a glance. Also, a 116520 is no substitute for the real thing...

I think Dalip owns or used to own one, am I right?

A beautiful dial indeed, I quite like it myself.

Agreed... I'm thinking of the 116509 which is the WG I believe.

It seems easy to tell time with the arabic

Any owners can share experience??

If you don't mind the metal......I got some nice slate pics for you !
(Certainly do not want to start the "pretend" discussion again here....)

The dial is gorgeous. The numbers usually look white, but the hidden bonus is they sometimes look sort of purple/blue depending on light conditions. Especially the purple/blue is crazy beautiful but catching it on a pic? haven't succeeded on that yet.

Recently switched to the Panda, not too ugly either!
