1680 Back From ABC

So, last month I bought a 1680 red submariner from Andrew Shear. I love the watch but wasn't crazy about the top hat crystal. I know that's part of the charm for most, but I just didn't love it. I ended up sending my watch to ABC Watchwerks to have a dome crystal put on it. After only 1 week, I got it back yesterday. I am absolutely loving the dome crystal on this watch. They did an amazing job re-profiling the service crystal to look more like the originals. Thank you Andrew for an awesome 1680, and Edvi and Beau at ABC.

Personally, I would have bought a 1665 if domed plexi / vintage sans cyclops is what floats the boat.

It looks nice :) - but a 1665 would have been a better choice.

Maybe he wanted the red text on the dial but didn't want to pay > $20,000 to get it??? Or maybe he just wanted something a little thinner than a 1665. No crime in doing a little crystal swapping.

To the OP, I LOVE IT!!! And....Congrats

Love domes. Never been a fan of the top hat so have never owned one of these. This definitely looks great. Might have to rethink my collection to get a red in there.

I don't think a 1665 would have been a better choice, as I don't want one. I wanted a 1680 with a domed crystal, so it's actually the perfect choice.
