Box is a fake but the watch seems a straight old survivor. tru to get a shot of the gasket channel to check for corrosion.

I'm pretty sure the box is genuine, though not period correct for the watch. Suede insert looks off, is all.

Ok, so case and lugs pass muster (meaning not over-polished to hell and back) at least from the pics....?

They don't look bad to me. They've look to maybe have been recently touched up. Not a bad job at all and certainly not over done.
