Datejust/ jubilee

I have a Datejust 16234 of 1989. You would change the strap?

Yes i would, because i am not a fan of jubilee for they are often so shiny and full present.

But wait a second, that was probably not your question.

Plenty of life left in that bracelet.

Very nice bracelet! Nothing wrong with a well used jubilee. :)

The older they get the better they look.

That bracelet looks fine. I've had a lot worse on my wrist.

A little bit of stretch makes a Jubilee very comfortable.

looks fine. i would stop thinking about it and enjoy it. you got THE most popular and classic rolex and to change it would be silly. that bracelet has decades to go before considering a tightening job.

As far as stretch in jubilee bracelets is concerned, your bracelet, as stated above, is far from stretched. Yes, it does show SOME stretch, and it should because it does have some miles on it, however....It is actually quite nice and in very good condition overall, for its age. Wear it in health and enjoy that beauty, you have a classic reference there.

As to "How much does a new jubilee cost", that's the shocker. Rolex bracelets in any material are priced like fine jewelry. A USED jubilee sells for many hundreds of dollars, I believe a new one would cost you over USD1000 from Rolex. In precious metal they are ludicrously expensive, as the other members with more of them than I have will tell you.

Anyway I'm with the other commenters here. Your current bracelet is not yet so worn out that it cannot be worn, I'd keep wearing it. For variety, your white-dialed DJ might look good on a white or light blue perlon strap (in hot weather) or a nice brown leather strap (for cooler weather), but it looks great on bracelet.
