3572.50 repair

My beloved 3572.50 is in need of repair. My local Omega store quoted me $600 and said they may replace hand, dial etc if necessary (I don't think it's necessary, they look mint). Said they cannot guarantee that it will remain original. Take the risk or have a third party do repairs and take that risk? I assume they will send me back my parts if they replace anything? Thanks

Check with RGM Watches in Mount Joy, PA.

Also, I would be concerned about the price the Omega store quoted, as the starting price for service to your watch is $750 according to Omega's web site.

For Omega service details and pricing: https://www.omegawatches.com/en-us/c...mplete-service

Thanks. Holy smokes, $750? My GMTII was only $500ish from a Rolex Service Center. Not a chrono but wow.

Go online to Swatch Group and look for service price catalog. It goes through all the brands and calibers. You can choose the level of refinish if you care to, but movement service is based on age and caliber complexity.

I have a Brown dial speedy and when it needs an overhaul, I will send it here:
USAwatchservice.com $550 for Omega Chronograph overhaul.
They did some Rolex work for several years back. Very impressed with them.

If tritium, do not let Omega service the watch, they will remove the hands making it difficult to refit them

If superluminova, doesn't really matter?

Check with Rik Dietel (Rikki here on the forum, Time Care Inc in Florida); he is great and has worked in both, Rolex and Omega watches for me (does have an Omega parts account)

I had mine serviced through an Omega Boutique. I had the option of not replacing the dial and hands. They also returned all the old parts they replaced.

Good luck,
David
