Buying from Davidsw—no concern on authenticity, just a question about taxes.
Does he charge tax on internet sales? He has a wire price shown on website and it would be shipped to Texas.

Why not call or email and ask him.

Normally I would, but my MIL is standing in an AD in Punta Cana as I type this, trying to determine if she’ll buy from them or him. I thought someone here might have a quick answer. I don’t see it addressed on his site. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I do not believe he collects sales tax. Go to his site and go thru the process of buying the watch and see what happens.

He's in Florida and you're in Texas... why would he collect sales tax? It's up to your own conscience to report the purchase or not.
Also, if watch is purchased in Punta Cana, you will get dinged something like 1.5 - 3% duty on the amount in excess of the family's duty free allowance when you return to the states. |

Some internet sellers collect sales tax, regardless of the final destination (hence the question). And as mentioned, it’s not my purchase. Thanks for info on duty free allowance, I’ll let her know. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

So you thought you would get a quicker answer on an Internet forum then just to call the guy up directly? That doesn’t make sense

There are hundreds of people online here who know this and could easily reply within seconds. What if he called the store and no one picked up because yeah uh you know, they could be busy as well... |

Did you happen to notice the time I posted this thread? Do you think the guy just sits by his phone at all hours of the night, on call like a surgeon? Why did you bother to include yourself in this thread if you had zero to add to it? I really don’t get posters like you. I’m sorry for the trauma you most assuredly endured on the playground in your youth. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Never paid tax directly to him. He has shipped me several watches to WA state. David is a great guy.

This, coupled with the late hour, is why I asked the question here. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

He didn’t charge sales tax going to Arkansas. I think he leaves it to the customer to pay that to their state.

Out of state (he’s in Florida), he doesn’t charge sales tax. He does charge the PayPal fee so that you can use a cc, but that’s well worth it. He’s incredible. And very easy do deal with. A true trusted seller!

To my understanding, there should only be sales tax on in-state purchases. |

I've bought three watches from David, shipped to Arizona. No sales tax.
